In 2022, Northern Italy has seen the worst drought in decades, both due to very little amount of snow and rain last winter, as well as the extreme heat period in the summer. The situation has been impacting agriculture significantly since June, and the authorities have been expressing their concerns for weeks, implementing also some bans for water usage for private consumption.
In the gallery, there are photos taken by two of Italy's major rivers, Po and Ticino. More info in the captions, as well as in my blog.
