Davide Grassi's father is Libero Grassi, a Palermitan entrepreneur murdered by mafia in 1991, as he refused to pay pizzo. The killing was preceded by numerous threats. In 2000, thanks to a new law, Libero Grassi's children Davide and Alice Grassi received a monetary compensation which allowed them to open their own businesses. Mr. Grassi with one of his employees.
